Smbsniff is a tool that will write on your disk all the files shared in a LanManager environment (that's all the Microsoft / samba workstations). This is a proof of concept to show that LanManager (CIFS) is an extremely insecure protocol. Smbsniff can sniff from a network interface or read a network dump file created by tcpdump. Comments and questions should be sent directly to the author. Smbsniff was developped under Linux but should work on *BSD and Solaris (not tested). Smbsniff was written by Frédéric Lavécot . It is available in a alpha version under the BSD license. |
